POSTER DESIGN

The Mt. Hood CC theater department sought a visually engaging poster to promote The Memo by Václav Havel—a play centered on the absurdity of bureaucracy, dehumanizing corporate language, and systemic control.

These themes were explored through layered visual metaphors: tangled red tape, abstracted office forms, and sterile typography. The psychological and linguistic sea that the characters navigate led to the final design of the main character being swept away in this mire.

The poster drew attention across campus, sparking dialogue about the play’s themes and boosting visibility for the production and led to successful ticket sales.
